What we collect
When you use our contact form we receive the name, email address and message you write, the service you choose, and your phone number and website if you add them. We only use what you send us.
To stop spam, the form also uses your IP address for a short time to limit repeated sends. We do not keep it with your message.
If you accept analytics cookies, we also collect information about how you use this site. See "Cookies and analytics" below.
Why we use it
We use your details to reply to your enquiry and, if you ask for one, to prepare your free visibility audit and any proposal that follows. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in answering the people who contact us, and steps you ask for before a possible contract (Article 6(1)(f) and 6(1)(b) GDPR).
We will not add you to a mailing list or send you marketing unless you ask us to.
Cookies and analytics
We use Google Analytics 4 to see how visitors use this site, so we can improve it. It only runs if you click "Accept" on our cookie banner. If you click "Reject", or do nothing, no analytics cookies are set. The legal basis is your consent (Article 6(1)(a) GDPR and the ePrivacy Regulations 2011).
If you accept, Google Analytics sets the cookies _ga and _ga_ESH03HMLXY, which last up to two years, and collects information such as the pages you visit, how long you stay, your device and browser, and your approximate location. Google signals and ad personalisation are switched off. This information is processed by Google Ireland Limited, and Google may transfer it to the United States under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework.
We also save your cookie choice in your browser's local storage, so we don't ask you again on every page. This is needed for the site to respect your choice and is not used to track you.
You can change your mind at any time with "Cookie settings" at the bottom of every page. If you withdraw consent, we delete the analytics cookies from your browser.
Our fonts are hosted on our own server, so your visit is not shared with font providers. Links to our Instagram and LinkedIn pages take you to those sites, which have their own privacy policies.
Who else sees it
Your message is stored on our web hosting and delivered to our business email. Both our web hosting and our business email are provided by Hostinger, which handles this data on our behalf. If you accept analytics cookies, Google receives the analytics data described above.
We do not sell your data or share it with anyone else, unless the law requires it.
How long we keep it
We keep enquiries for up to 12 months after our last contact with you, then delete them. If you become a client, we keep what our contract and Irish tax law require. Google Analytics data is kept for up to 14 months.
Your rights
You can ask us for a copy of your data, to correct it, to delete it, to restrict or object to how we use it, or to receive it in a portable format. Where we rely on your consent, you can withdraw it at any time. Write to hello@gdelevate.com and we will reply within one month.
If you are not happy with how we handle your data, you can complain to the Data Protection Commission at dataprotection.ie.
Changes
If we change how we use your data, we will update this page first and change the date at the top.
